17-year-old Namou starts the year with an infectious indie-pop tune, "Qtip"

We love 17-year-old Columbus, Georgia artist Namou for his ability to make fun, simple songs that you don't have to overthink; this is a much larger compliment (and much harder to achieve) than it might sound. This year, he’s back with another.

Produced by Jack Laboz, "Qtip" presents an upbeat, smooth exterior with lyrical depth and sincerity beneath the surface; in this case, the story is inspired by his experiences stepping out of his suburban hometown. Run it up, and let's hope for more this year from the promising young talent.
